Bronze medal at IOI 2013

The best Macedonian high school students achieved yet another great success at the 25th International Olympiad in Informatics (IOI), held from July 6th till July 13th 2013, in Brisbane, Queensland, Australia. 299 students took part in IOI 2013, having been previously selected through the national programming competitions held in 80 countries around the world. In such a strong competition, the winner of a bronze medal for Macedonia was Bojan Serafimov from Vinica, but it should be noted that the other 3 Macedonian contestants also achieved very solid results.

The Macedonian team consisted of Bojan Serafimov, Kliment Serafimov, Rosica Dejanovska and Vasil Kuzevski, as contestants, and Mile Jovanov and Emil Stankov, as team leaders. This result is an extension of the continuity of successful representations of Macedonia at the international Olympiads in informatics from the last few years and another confirmation of the knowledge in the area of computer science that our students possess.

The next competition where the Macedonian students will participate is the Balkan Olympiad in Informatics (BOI), which will be held in September 2013, in Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina. The 26th International Olympiad in Informatics (IOI 2014) will be held from July 13th till July 20th 2014, in Taipei, Taiwan.
